7.2/10

I recently enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alexandra in Rome, and it's got a lot going for it! The location can't be beat—just a short walk to iconic spots like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. However, I felt let down by the breakfast options; they just didn't hit the mark for me. Overall, it was a solid experience, though with a few bumps along the way.

Rooms
7.0
My room was a decent size and well-kept, but I did notice some areas that needed attention, like a cramped shower. It had a nice large bathroom that was quite light and airy, which was a plus. Still, cleanliness could have been better, as I spotted a few annoying details.
Service
8.0
The staff were super friendly and always ready to help, whether it was calling a taxi or giving directions around the city. They were really accommodating when I had laundry that needed taking care of, too. However, I did think the breakfast service was a bit slow to replenish items.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is excellent—just a five-minute walk from major attractions and right by the Barberini metro station. It felt safe and was away from the hustle, making it easy to explore. I loved how convenient it was for sightseeing; it made my romantic getaway so much easier.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast room was bright and spacious, the food options really didn't impress me. It was mostly at room temperature and lacked variety, especially for someone who enjoys savory options. I was craving something more substantial, and the coffee wasn’t up to snuff, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had decent facilities, including reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning. However, I didn't see any standout amenities that would make it feel truly special. It ticked the boxes but didn't go above and beyond in my opinion.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Alexandra, enjoying the great location near major attractions and the cleanliness of the hotel. However, some aspects, like the small size of the shower and the limited flexibility with food from the breakfast room, were a bit disappointing. Still, the friendly staff and the good breakfast made my overall experience enjoyable.

Rooms
6.0
My room was nice but nothing extraordinary. Cleanliness was good, but I found the shower quite cramped (I could barely turn around!). My friends had a more spacious shower, so if you're larger, definitely ask for a bigger one.
Service
7.0
The staff was always very pleasant and helpful. They provided great assistance with directions and suggestions, which I really appreciated. However, I did encounter some issues with my reservation, and the management's follow-up was somewhat lacking.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, just a short walk from key sites like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It was easy to navigate to various attractions from the hotel, with public transportation conveniently nearby.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight for me, offering a good variety at a reasonable price of 6 euros. I especially enjoyed the coffee service and the selection of fresh fruits and pastries. It felt like a good value for the money, although I wished I could bring food to my room.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had decent amenities, although there were some quirks, like not being able to eat gelato in my room. They provided luggage storage before check-in, which was very helpful for my day of exploring prior to check-in.

I had a lovely three-night stay at Hotel Alexandra, which was perfectly situated for exploring Rome’s major attractions like the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps (only about a 10-15 minute walk). My room was a bit small and didn't have a view, but it was clean and comfortable enough for my needs. While the breakfast offerings could have been better, they were more than adequate to start the day. Overall, the staff were friendly and very helpful, making my stay enjoyable despite a few minor hiccups.

Rooms
8.0
My double room was compact but had a large bathroom (complete with marble floors). It was clean and nicely furnished, with effective air conditioning for the hot August weather.
Service
9.0
The staff provided excellent support with local information and assisted me promptly with a room change when I experienced an issue on the first night. Their friendliness added to the warmth of my stay.
Location
10.0
Hotel Alexandra’s location is fantastic, right next to the Barberini Metro Station and just a short walk to major sites like the Vatican and the Colosseum, which made exploring the city very convenient.
Dining
7.0
I found the breakfast to be quite satisfactory, with a good variety to choose from, though I had hoped for a bit more in terms of quality and options (especially for the price).
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had useful amenities such as luggage storage and air conditioning, which I appreciated during my stay. The communal areas were charming, enhancing my overall experience.

I had a good honeymoon at Hotel Alexandra on Via Veneto. The cozy and comfortable room was a nice retreat after exploring the city, and the welcoming staff were instrumental in helping us navigate our tourist plans. The location was perfect, with easy access to major attractions. The breakfast variety was impressive, setting us up well for our days, though the breakfast bar could be clearer about included items.

Rooms
8.0
My deluxe room was cozy and clean, but it was on the smaller side. The air conditioning kept the room cool, which was a relief after long days out in the heat.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally helpful and friendly, offering good advice for tickets and directions. However, clear communication about breakfast options could improve the experience.
Location
10.0
This hotel boasts an excellent location near major sights such as the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, making sightseeing very convenient, plus the metro is right outside.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast selection had a great variety, though I found the layout crowded in the small dining room. Some clarity on what's included with the room rate would have been beneficial.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities were solid, including air conditioning and secure luggage storage, making my stay comfortable. However, some communal areas could use an update.

5.6/10

My stay at Hotel Alexandra was quite pleasant overall. The location is superb, with famous attractions like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps just a short walk away. While the staff were generally friendly, I did encounter a few who seemed detached, which slightly marred the experience. The room was small but comfortable, albeit it could have benefited from a bit more storage space for clothing.

Rooms
7.0
I found the room to be small yet cozy and clean. It was adequately equipped with basic amenities, and the air conditioning worked well, providing a comfortable atmosphere after a day of exploring. However, my companions struggled with their room, which lacked sufficient storage, forcing them to live out of their suitcases during our stay.
Service
6.0
The service was a mixed bag. While some staff members were incredibly helpful, especially at the front desk, others didn’t quite meet those standards. One staff member's warmth stood out, but there were moments when I felt a bit ignored. The helpfulness regarding local recommendations was a positive aspect.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is a major highlight. It's just a few minutes away from the iconic Trevi Fountain and not too far from the Spanish Steps. Additionally, the proximity to the Barberini Metro stop made it easy to navigate the city, which I loved.
Dining
6.0
I had breakfast there one morning, and while it was reasonably priced at 6 euros, I found the selection quite limited. There were some decent options, but you might want to be early, as I noticed they didn’t replenish items as thoroughly later on. However, I enjoyed a few local dishes at the restaurant outside, which were quite good.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a variety of facilities that made my stay convenient, such as Wi-Fi and luggage storage. Although there were a few aspects that could be improved, like the dining options, the overall amenities contributed positively to my experience.
